NOC Engineer (Network Operations Center)

Location: [PT Serpong Mas Telematika/Deltamas]

Employment Type: Full-Time

🎯 Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled NOC Engineer to join our 24/7 Network Operations Center team. The primary responsibility is the continuous monitoring, identification, and resolution (or escalation) of network alarms and incidents across our Fiber Optic backbone and access networks, ensuring optimal network performance and service continuity.

📝 Key Duties and Responsibilities
A. Monitoring & Incident Management

  1. Continuously monitor alarm systems and Network Management Systems (NMS) for all active network devices, including backbone and access infrastructure.
  2. Accurately identify and analyze network alarms and performance anomalies.
  3. Initiate rapid troubleshooting protocols and perform first-level diagnostics on reported issues (L1/L2).
  4. Manage the ticketing process, logging incidents, and performing timely escalation to the appropriate L3/Field Operations teams based on predefined SOPs.

B. Customer Support & Communication

  1. Provide prompt and effective response to customer complaints and technical issues reported via phone, email, or other communication channels.
  2. Coordinate and monitor network status during planned maintenance activities.
  3. Act as the central communication point for internal teams regarding network health and major outages.

✅ Qualifications and Requirements

Education & Experience

  1. Minimum SMK / D3 in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Experience in a NOC environment or network administration is highly desirable.

Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

  1. Strong understanding of LAN/WAN (L2/L3) technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP).
  2. Proficiency in Network Monitoring and basic Troubleshooting skills based on routing and switching principles.
  3. Familiarity with Fiber Optic transmission systems and common telecommunication network equipment.
  4. Familiarity with network devices such as Switches, Routers, OLT, ONT, and STB.
  5. Basic knowledge of Metropolitan Area Networks, MPLS, and DWDM systems is a plus.
  6. Competency in operating MS Office applications for reporting and documentation.

Other Requirements

  1. Ability to work effectively and diligently in a 7x24 hour shift rotation as per company regulations.
  2. Living in the Bekasi area is preferred
  3. Good communication skills in English (passive and active) and [Local Language, e.g., Bahasa Indonesia].
  4. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
